OUR PROGRAM

 

ADMISSIONS:
All applicants are required to attend Open Enrollment before admission to CPC. Applicants must be at least 18 years
of age and a resident of the State of Missouri or Illinois living within the CPC service areas. Minimum entry
requirements include a TABE score of 9.0 in math and reading and a high school diploma or GED

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications for admission are available from the Construction Prep Center, located in the MET Center,
6347 Plymouth, Saint Louis, Missouri 63133 and at MOKAN, 4144 Lindell Boulevard, Saint Louis,
Missouri 63108. Applications are also accepted during MET Center Open Enrollment sessions.

Applicants who meet the minimum entrance requirements will be placed on the CPC waiting list for the next
available class cycle

CPC INSTRUCTIONAL SUMMARY
The Construction Prep Center conducts five (5) cycles per year. Each cycle is an intensive nine (9) weeks of
instruction in Basic Skills, Work Readiness, Orientation to Construction - with emphasis on Heavy
Highway Construction - and Trade Exploration.

ACADEMIC STANDARDS
Student performance is evaluated as excellent, good, fair or unacceptable in the following disciplines:

Attendance - Attitude - Aptitude - Academics - Safety Habits - Health and Fitness - Tests and Final Exams

Students who fulfill our performance requirements will graduate with a Certificate of Completion from the CPC.
